It was date night and we decided to visit the infamous Kara Lounge in Essex. A few of our friends had raved about this joint and I had also seen some reviews on instagram. It was now time to give my taste buds a little bit of the action.

Review

I’ve given the starter 6.5 because it was just ok in y opinion. Nothing invented or re-invented on their menu. Their main course was also good. Appropriate portions of food, although can do with cutting down a little. Presentation was fine, could have been a little bit more inventive. The aesthetic and service makes up a lot for what’s missing in food and invention. There are many different and cute spots to take instagram worthy pictures or ones for keepsake. Their flower wall steals the heart of their restaurant space and the floral decoration theme reminds me of a rich indoor garden space.

Recommendation

Kara is the place to be if you’re looking to cosy up with your date. It’s also a fantastic venue for a party and birthdays. They have ample parking space on the restaurant grounds and this is always a plus. Additionally, the restaurant boasts a full range of mocktails, cocktails, wines and soft drinks. Their service was impeccable and staff were very polite. I would certainly go back and I definitely recommend you to also.
